Irish-born, London-based, I am a director, writer, teacher and drama facilitator. I have directed large-scale ensemble pieces, youth theatre, children's theatre and more intimate new writing pieces that explore stories of the underrepresented, the misunderstood and the disenfranchised. I particularly enjoy collaborating on devised pieces and I have a passion for breathing new life into contemporary plays and overlooked classics. When not directing or writing, I have coached learning-disabled and neurodiverse actors for high-profile performances at Leeds Playhouse, The Old Vic and The Kiln Theatre. I have also supported actors in preparing for self-tapes and other auditions.
“Making is just as much a part of the process for me as the final outcome. My work has always been a collaboration and a fusion of art forms.”
“Selena offers concrete and actionable feedback. She is wonderful to work with and her enthusiasm is second to none. Highly recommend Selena and her many skills!”
